Children hospitalised after rescue from fire

Three children are in a critical condition after a fire at a derelict building.

Emergency services were called to London Road in Stockport on Tuesday evening, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said. The children, whose ages have not been released, were rescued from the building by firefighters and are in hospital in a critical condition, according to police.

Det Insp Chris Aunins said: “We believe that it may have been started deliberately and so we are appealing for anyone with information, or anyone who may have dashcam footage, to get in touch with police to help with our inquiries.”
