City banker in rage over £300,000 bonus

-

A City banker flew into a rage at his bosses because his £300,000 bonus was “unacceptable”, an employment tribunal heard.

Fabio Filippi shouted at his superiors and was said to be “infuriated” as he has received an additional £100,000 the previous year.

Executives at BNP Paribas London felt the highly paid banker’s work had dropped off and he ended up being sacked as they concluded he was an “expensive resource who didn’t add value”, the tribunal was told.

The Italian, who once commanded a salary package of nearly £700,000, lost a legal case against the French bank after claiming unfair dismissal.
