Welsh patients sent to Stoke for treatment
Patients are being sent from a hospital in North Wales for treatment in Stoke-on-trent over a lack of staff and concerns for safety.
Vascular patients at Glan Clwyd Hospital in Denbighshire are being moved after a series of meetings between Welsh government officials and NHS England.
Betsi Cadwaladr health board, which manages the hospital, has said it is facing “immediate operational pressures due to consultant availability and nurse staffing”.
Eluned Morgan, the health minister, said safety concerns were raised in July and measures were put in place for aortic patients.
