Classic FM special show pays tribute to Turnbull

Classic FM will broadcast a special tribute programme today in honour of Bill Turnbull.

Remembering Bill Turnbull will air from 10am to 1pm in what would have been the presenter’s usual time slot. Hosted by Aled Jones, the programme will feature highlights from Turnbull, who died aged 66 on Wednesday after a “challenging and committed fight against prostate cancer”.

The show will include a selection of his favourite classical music and film themes, and tributes from colleagues. Classic FM hopes to continue his legacy by using the show to raise awareness of prostate cancer and encourage men to get checked.
