Despite a plot that leans on too many credibility-defying coincidences, the top-class cast – including a weirdbearded Aidan Turner and, especially, Anjli Mohindra as his Met detective nemesis – make this a consistently entertaining and always gripping watch. Tonight, as the Met murder squad renew their investigation into Turner’s frazzled clinical psychologist Joe O’loughlin, paranoia sets in and he begins to suspect that one of his patients is setting him up.
