Singer Capaldi discloses Tourette’s diagnosis
Lewis Capaldi has revealed he has Tourette’s syndrome and has received Botox treatment in his shoulder to help control his tics.
The 25-year-old Scottish singer opened up about his diagnosis during an Instagram Live video, explaining he is still learning about the condition, which causes a person to make involuntary sounds and movements.
Capaldi admitted he was relieved to discover he has the condition as he originally feared he might have some “horrible” degenerative disease.
He explained that owing to his twitches people mistakenly think he takes drugs before concerts, but he said that is “never going to happen”.
