SHIPS FROM HOME WATERS.
It may have been noticed that for several days past the Admiralty have ceased publishing the movements of His Majesty’s ships in the Mediterranean, this being the usual precaution during a period of “strained relations.” But it may be safely assumed that the Commander-in-chief has concentrated all the available units under his command in the areas threatened by the latest developments of Kemalist policy. A large number of ships have, it is common knowledge in naval circles, steamed to Constantinople in readiness for any eventualities, and other units have assembled in adjacent waters so as to be handy to carry out any orders which may be desirable.
