Sidney (2022) Apple TV+ ★★★★

The inspirational life story of the great actor Sidney Poitier, who died in January this year, is retold in this documentary through archive footage and interviews with figures including Oprah Winfrey (the film’s producer), Spike Lee and Lulu, Poitier’s co-star in To Sir, with Love. It’s a warm and engaging insight to an extraordinary man, who became the first black man to win the Oscar for Best Actor in 1964.
