The Daily Telegraph

Four ways to help

-

Readers of the Telegraph realise that in hard times their generosity means more than ever. Last year, you gave £700,000 to the four charities in the Telegraph Christmas Charity Appeal. As we report on the facing page, the four charities chosen for this year’s appeal all change lives for the better. Age UK provides support and friendship for old people in need. More than three million people in Britain have cancer, and Macmillan Cancer Support strives to help them live life as fully as they can. Founded in 1869, Action for Children gives practical and emotional care to make lasting improvement to young lives. Royal British Legion Industries, begun in 1919, provides employment and accommodation for military veterans and their families. We know that readers will be happy to make the effort to help with their donations.
