Veteran puts ‘midlife crisis’ bunker on sale

-

A Cold War bunker bought by an Army veteran during a “midlife crisis” has been put on the market for £25,000.

Mark Colledge, 63, bought the underground vault in Legbourne, Lincolnshire, almost 10 years ago.

However, Mr Colledge, from Saltburn-by-the-sea, Teeside, is putting his “man cave” up for sale on Nov 24 with SDL Property Auctions.

Mr Colledge said: “I think that I was having a bit of a midlife crisis when I bought it. I suppose it was my man cave.”

The relic was built for three people to hide out in response to the threat of a Soviet nuclear attack in 1959.
