Architect struck off over anti-semitic behaviour
An architect has been struck off for making Nazi salutes at work.
Justin Rooney caused dismay among colleagues at the award-winning firm where he worked by raising his right arm at them to perform a Heil Hitler gesture. The London-based architect also complained co-workers were “Jewish freaks”, a tribunal heard.
Rooney also posted offensive and anti-semitic comments on Instagram and boasted that he “only lasted three weeks” at the firm. At the tribunal, he claimed the allegations against him were “extremely mean spirited” and infringed on his free speech.
