sir – Matthew Lynn (Business, November 8) says big firms are cutting work forces as non-jobs and lower productivity are more obvious with staff working from home. This change in the private sector’s attitude is driven by the bottom line. When will this happen in the Civil Service, where non-jobs and low output abound? Victoria Cockburn
