Man held over failure to stop after fatal accident
A man was arrested yesterday after a hit-and-run crash in which a 62-year-old man was killed.
Police were called to Bexleyheath, south-east London, at 7.20pm on Saturday, where the driver of a red Citroen C1 car died at the scene.
A silver Mercedes car involved had left the scene and was found abandoned a short time later, according to the Metropolitan Police.
The force said that the suspect, aged 36, was in custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, causing a death while uninsured and failing to stop at a collision.
