Awol Biden ‘has cold... not Covid’

THE White House yesterday insisted Joe Biden has not caught Covid, despite coming into contact with the Cambodian prime minister who tested positive for the virus.

The US President sat next to Hun Sen during a dinner in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh on Saturday before flying to Bali for the G20 summit.

Mr Biden coughed and spluttered his way through a press conference on Monday before pulling out of the G20 gala dinner yesterday evening to avoid the large gathering of world leaders.

White House officials pushed back on suggestions that he might have caught the virus for a third time,

“It’s not Covid. He just had spent a full day in meetings and needed to attend to a few things,” an official said.

On Monday, Mr Biden met Xi Jinping, the Chinese president, who has been reluctant to leave his homeland over fears he may catch the virus. Neither man was wearing a mask. Mr Sen said he had “no idea” where he picked it up.
