Krisha (2015) Film4, 11.20pm ★★★★

This moving and emphathetic drama, shown at the Cannes Film Festival, stars director Trey Edward Shults’s real-life aunt, Krisha Fairchild, as the eponymous protagonist; she’s a troubled woman who is estranged from her family. In an attempt to reconcile, she offers to cook them all Thanksgiving dinner – but when they arrive, it becomes clear that they all have differing opinions of their host.
