Deep cover CIA chief was in Kyiv as missiles rained down

- Roland Oliphant

The head of the CIA was in Kyiv when Russia unleashed a massive missile barrage against Ukraine on Tuesday, it has been reported.

Bill Burns visited the city to brief President Volodymyr Zelensky on his talks with Russia’s spy chief last Monday and to reaffirm Washington’s continued support for the Ukrainian war effort.

He was safely inside the US embassy when missiles struck the capital and has now left Ukraine, a US official said.
