- By Martin Evans CRIME EDITOR

A YOUNG mother is recovering after two men, one wearing a Tesco delivery jacket, forced their way into her home and threatened her at knifepoint while she was holding her baby.

The victim was at home in Wandsworth, south-west London, at lunchtime on Tuesday, when she was attacked by the men who demanded cash. After knocking at the front door, the pair forced their way into the kitchen as she held her one-year-old. One of the men then held a large knife to her head and demanded she hand over any money. The pair fled empty handed and the woman, while deeply shaken, was physically unharmed.

Police have released video footage from inside the house in the hope of identifying the attackers.

Det Sgt Cerith Jones said: “The community will be appalled by this and I know many people will want to reach out and help us identify them.

“I urge local people to please check your doorbell and dash-cam footage for any material that could assist us. If you were in the vicinity and saw two men acting suspiciously, or running away, we want to hear from you. The young woman was terrified and it is imperative we catch the men responsible.”
