Prince George starry-eyed for Craig David’s blue tracksuit

IT COULD not have been further from the formal suited and booted look more traditionally associated with the Royal family.

But Prince George is said to have taken a particular shine to Craig David’s sparkly blue tracksuit during the Platinum Party at the Palace.

David revealed the Prince of Wales had told him his nine-year-old son “was going crazy” for his blue sequined outfit as they watched the concert from the royal box.

Appearing on The Jonathan Ross Show, the R&B singer, 41, said he had been invited with his mother to Buckingham Palace for a “little soiree” following the performance.

He said: “She was gripping my hand and I could tell what she was going to say, she said, ‘We’re in the Queen’s house’.

“Prince William walks over, he comes over, says, ‘My son George was going crazy for the blue sequined outfit that you were wearing’.

“My mum was there, I said, ‘Lovely to meet you, love that George loved the outfit’.

“That moment for me, as a son, was probably the most incredible moment for me.”

David was among a host of stars who performed at the concert in June to mark Queen Elizabeth II’S Platinum Jubilee.

He described Prince William as “super down to earth” and said he and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, represented a new chapter for the monarchy.
