Ecatsbridge organised five sessions of simultaneous pairs in aid of Children in Need, writes Julian Pottage, Bridge Correspondent, and the winners are as follows: Monday: 1st Martin Williams and Lawrence Blumberg (10cc, London), 70.33%; 2nd Suzy Zhubi and Sue Lipscombe (Ace of Clubs, London), 69.72%; and 3rd Tony Disley and Phil Felman (Vale of Glamorgan), 69.70%. Tuesday: 1st Pam Hunter and Paul Morrell (Bury Athenaeum, Lancashire), 73.49%; 2nd Terry Marah and Frank Littlewood (Bakewell, Derbyshire), 71.44%; and 3rd Sandy Fulton and John Rolph (Retford, Nottinghamshire), 70.16%.

Wednesday: 1st Janet Smith and John Gardner (Christchurch, Dorset), 75.01%; 2nd Roy Bassett and Sue Bassett (Caterham, Surrey), 72.31%; and 3rd Linda Cooper and John Cooper (Newton Blossomville, Bedfordshire), 70.28%.

Thursday: 1st Alan Walters and Jogindra Bakshi (Allestree, Derby), 73.79%; 2nd John Cadman and Mary Cadman (Naphill, Buckinghamshire), 73.21%; and 3rd John Coleman and Liz Hayton (Bourne End, Buckinghamshire), 71.20%.
