Three Lions rewritten for festive tournament

Frank Skinner and David Baddiel have released a festive reworking of their 1996 football anthem Three Lions for the World Cup. They said that although “football’s coming home” had become obsolete after victory for the England women’s team this year, they would give it “one more go for the blokes”.

As well as various festive references, the line “30 years of hurt” has been replaced by “20 weeks of hurt”, a nod to the Lionesses’ Euro 2022 triumph. The video includes cameos by Sir Geoff Hurst and defender Jess Carter.
