Three-year-old girl dies in motorway crash

A three-year-old girl and a 79-year-old man have been killed after a crash involving a Porsche and a people carrier on the M6 in Lancashire.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 5.30pm on Saturday after the collision involving a Porsche Boxster and Vauxhall Meriva.

The sportscar was being driven by the man, while the toddler was inside the Vauxhall. Two adults who were in the Meriva with the child also suffered serious injuries.

Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses.
