Wheelchair rugby
SIR – England’s men won the Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup final against France on Friday. What a wonderful example the players are to all sportsmen and women.
They play hard, have horrendous falls and get up immediately. Unlike footballers, they don’t lie on the pitch as if injured, have a look to see if there is a chance the umpire might award a free kick and then get up and play on as if nothing has happened.
I – and many other people, I expect – have the greatest respect and admiration for them.
