This Japanese crime thriller (in English and Japanese with subtitles), based on a real story, takes its time to get going but grips when it does. West Side Story’s Ansel Elgort is young American journalist Jake Adelstein, who becomes a crime reporter on a Tokyo newspaper in the 1990s and is soon embroiled in a violent yakuza network. Michael Mann (Collateral) directs the first episode.
