Down Among the Big Boys (1993) BBC Four, 10pm ★★

This largely forgotten Scottish crime drama stars a fresh-faced Douglas Henshall (Shetland’s DI Perez) as Louie, a Glaswegian detective who is on the trail of the local crime kingpin, Jojo (an ebullient Billy Connolly). The twist? Just as Jojo is planning his biggest bank heist yet, Louie is set to marry Jojo’s daughter (an equally fresh-faced Ashley Jensen, who is replacing Henshall in Shetland).
