Virgin Atlantic’s Cosmic Girl, a 747 aircraft that has been adapted to launch satellites into orbit, takes off from Spaceport Cornwall in Newquay. Nine satellites the size of cereal boxes were due to be deployed into space last night but failed after the Virgin Orbit’s Launcherone suffered an “anomaly”.
