Brothers and Friends

-

There have been stories in the media recently about brothers who do not get on or who have fallen out after apparently being very close. Sibling rivalry is hardly uncommon and will be familiar to most families.

Imagine, then, four highly competitive brothers deciding to row the Atlantic together and managing to keep the peace between them. The Friend brothers – two sets of twins – from Devon have just completed the arduous 3,000-mile crossing from the Canary Islands to Antigua in 32 days, raising £90,000 for charity in the process.

The four rowed through storms and, at one point during the crossing, were bombarded by flying fish. One of the crew called it a “life-shaping” experience for them all.

Brothers who are literally Friends.
