Sainsbury’s signs deal with Just Eat for home delivery

-

Sainsbury’s has announced a partnership with Just Eat – adding home delivery for groceries in under 30 minutes.

Customers will be able to order from more than 3,000 Sainsbury’s products via the Just Eat app, and have the products delivered by Just Eat riders to their door.

Sainsbury’s customers can use its existing online Chop Chop service for larger orders delivered within an hour.

The partnership is scheduled to begin in late February for about 175 stores, and set to roll out to more outlets later in 2023.

Just Eat already delivers groceries from the UK’S third largest retailer Asda. Online sales of groceries make up 10pc of the UK grocery market.
