Shamed officer to keep part of pension
David Carrick will be allowed to keep a third of his pension despite being convicted of crimes connected with his job as a Metropolitan Police officer, it has emerged.
Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, is to launch legal action to recover any public money that has been paid into his pension fund throughout his 21-year career.
However, human rights rules mean Carrick will be allowed to keep a third of the pot, which is made up of contributions that he made himself.
