Peter Farrelly’s Oscar-winner is ingratiating without offering much meat. It’s based on the true story of black pianist Don Shirley’s (a regal Mahershala Ali) tour of the American Deep South in 1962, told from the perspective of Frank “Tony Lip” Vallelonga (Viggo Mortensen), his Italian-american chauffeur, whose prejudices are softened by his drive with Shirley.
