Killer made Tiktok videos from elderly victim’s home

TWO men strangled a 71-year-old businesswoman in a £5million scam to steal her life savings before posting videos on Tiktok from her house.

Louise Kam, from Potters Bar, Herts, was strangled with a hairdryer cord and dumped in a wheelie bin after being lured to a house she owned in Barnet, north London, on July 26 2021.

After a trial at the Old Bailey, Kusai aljundi, 25, a chef, and Mohamed Elabboud, 28, a delivery driver, were found guilty of her murder yesterday.

They singled out the mother of two, who owned two north London properties – the £1.3million house in Barnet and a shop with three flats in Willesden.

A friend had introduced her to Jundi, who boasted of having a wealthy girlfriend called Anna willing to put up £4.6million to buy Ms Kam’s properties in a deal which involved avoiding tax.

However, Jundi never intended to part with his money, the court was told.

He went on to instruct a solicitor to draw up legal papers to transfer Ms Kam’s properties into his name and convinced her to sign a power of attorney document to seize control of her finances.

Meanwhile, El-abboud moved into Ms Kam’s Barnet house and treated it as his own. Jurors saw a Tiktok video of El-abboud, a Romanian, showing people around the property. The scam came to a head when Ms Kam made it clear she would not sign over the properties without meeting “Anna”.

A meeting was arranged at the Barnet house but, by the time Ms Kam realised something was amiss, it was too late.

The defendants bundled up her body in a duvet and dumped it in a rubbish bin which Jundi later arranged to be collected and taken to his family home hoping it would end up in landfill.

Her body was eventually discovered at Jundi’s home, hidden beneath turf in the wheelie bin.

Giving evidence, El-abboud denied being involved in her death and blamed Jundi, who declined to give evidence.

Adjourning sentencing until Feb 1, Judge Mark Lucraft KC told them: “You have been convicted of the most brutal murder of Louise Kam. Not just satisfied with trying to defraud her, you left her in the rubbish to be taken away.”
