Carrying cash

sir – Ken Hope (Letters, January 23) has never bought a pair of jeans.

How has he coped without that little pocket on his right-hand side within the main pocket? It is ideal for holding a tenner when one doesn’t want to carry a wallet. (The old paper tenners folded better.)
