Sunak’s first budget as PM unveils £24billion of tax increases and £30billion of public spending cuts. The OBR confirms UK faces biggest fall in living standards.

Pledges £50 million in aid to Ukraine and meets with President Volodymr Zelensky on his first visit to Kyiv.

He gives his first major broadcast interview of the year, saying NHS waiting lists will reduce within months and laws will be passed to stop migrants crossing the Channel.
