Bridging the gap

Michael Gove, the Levelling Up Secretary, after signing a landmark devolution deal for the North East at the Baltic Centre in Gateshead. A £1.4bn investment fund will allow the Mayor of the North East to boost the economies of Northumberland, Newcastle, Tyneside, Gateshead, Sunderland and Co Durham.
