Death at Welsh dump investigated by police
An investigation has been launched at an industrial dump in Wales after the death of a 34-year-old man.
Police and other emergency service crews were called to an incident at Fenestration Recycling Company – a facility for the disposal of UPVC window frames and glass – in Neath Abbey, near Port Talbot, on Tuesday morning. The man, from Swansea, was declared dead at the scene, and the Health and Safety Executive is now investigating the incident.
Detective Inspector Carl Price said: “The Health and Safety Executive have been informed and an investigation has begun. Our thoughts remain with the man’s family, friends and colleagues.”
