Death at Welsh dump investigat­ed by police

An investigat­ion has been launched at an industrial dump in Wales after the death of a 34-year-old man.

Police and other emergency service crews were called to an incident at Fenestrati­on Recycling Company – a facility for the disposal of UPVC window frames and glass – in Neath Abbey, near Port Talbot, on Tuesday morning. The man, from Swansea, was declared dead at the scene, and the Health and Safety Executive is now investigat­ing the incident.

Detective Inspector Carl Price said: “The Health and Safety Executive have been informed and an investigat­ion has begun. Our thoughts remain with the man’s family, friends and colleagues.”
