Burglars stole guns in farm raid as child slept

A gang of five men broke into an isolated farmhouse in Oxfordshire and forced a 55-year-old woman in the house to lie on the floor while they stole guns and property worth £200,000, police have said.

A five-year-old child was asleep in the house at the time.

The men fled with stolen goods including three rifles, two shotguns and ammunition, as well as items of jewellery and handbags.

They also stole the woman’s mobile phone and car. No-one was injured in the incident.
