Woman in 60s crushed by ‘stolen’ cars that fled

-

A woman has been treated in hospital after being crushed between two cars in Barking, east London.

Footage circulating on social media shows a car driving towards the woman, pinning her against another vehicle on the street. Police said they were called to reports of a rammed car, and that a woman in her 60s suffered leg injuries. She was taken to hospital by ambulance, but her condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

One Instagram account posted the video, with the caption: “It seems the guy filming was hit by the BMW which drove off. The Bentley was driving in convoy with the BMW and was apparently stolen.” The footage shows that as the woman calls the police, the man in the car who has hit her jumps into another car and makes his escape.
