Full steam ahead

Peter Fagg, chief engineer, at work on the Corliss and Wheelock steam engine at the British Engineerium in Hove, East Sussex. It is going up for auction in the Connoisseur’s Library sale at Bonhams in February. The fully working horizontal engine weighs approximately 16 tons and was built in Lille, France, in 1889.
