-

A fraudster and his accomplice have been ordered to serve at least 35 years in jail for murdering a 71-year-old businesswoman to steal her millions.

Kusai Al-jundi, 25, a chef, convinced Louise Kam, a former catering company owner from Potters Bar, Herts, he was interested in buying her properties for £4.6million. But he and Mohamed El-abboud, a 28-year-old delivery driver lured her to one of the houses, in Barnet, north London, to kill her, the Old Bailey was told.

Mrs Kam, a widow, was strangled with a hairdryer cord before the pair, who denied murder, tried to hide her body. Both were sentenced to life with a minimum term of 35 years.
