A fine bounty

Auction house workers help to position ‘The Return’, painted in 1859 by Alfred de Dreux, which is expected to fetch up to £600,000 when it is auctioned at Christie’s in London next week. De Dreux, a frequent visitor to England, was killed in a duel with Comte Fleury, Napoleon’s principal aide-de-camp, over a painting in March 1860 in Paris.
