Two arrests after man found dying at home
Police have arrested two people on suspicion of murder after a man was killed in a rural Somerset market town.
Officers were called to a house in Wellington at 8.25am yesterday morning and found the man in a critical condition. He was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival, despite the efforts of paramedics.
Avon and Somerset Police said they believe the incident is isolated and a man and a woman have been arrested, both of whom remain in custody.
Det Insp Mark Newbury said the “tragic news” was “incredibly rare” for a place like Wellington. “Our thoughts and sympathies go out to the man’s family,” he added.
