Step closer to app ban

The US Congress foreign affairs committee has approved a bill giving President Joe Biden the power to ban Chinese-owned Tiktok and other apps considered security risks. The legislation, opposed by Democrats, does not specify how the ban would work. Charli D’amelio, 18, above, is a US influencer with 150m followers on Tiktok.
