Rafiq denies blackmail in cricket racism case

Azeem Rafiq has denied blackmailing Adil Rashid following claims that Michael Vaughan used racist language towards them on the second day of a Cricket Discipline Commission hearing. Rashid said he heard Vaughan say to him, Rafiq, Rana Naved ul-hasan and Ajmal Shahzad “there’s too many of you lot” in 2009. Vaughan denies saying the words. Shahzad, a former bowler, had said he thought Rashid was being pressured by Rafiq. Rashid denies that he was being blackmailed.
