‘I feel let down’ Students hit out at decisions

For Samuel Borowski, 17, a pupil at Cranbrook School, a co-educational grammar in west Kent – who was again stuck at home learning online during teacher strikes yesterday – the Whatsapp leaks revealed in The Telegraph show “we have wasted so much time”.

He said: “Lockdowns in 2020 had a huge impact on my education and wellbeing. This caused me to lose motivation and interest in my subjects.

“It now appears that whenever there is any sort of inconvenience within schools, they turn to online learning as they think it’s a good alternative to regular schooling.

“Matt Hancock is just another example of an MP putting his politics and his career before the welfare of his constituents. He needs to understand that the revelations that have come out today are not about him but about children in England.”
