Paxman ends up in A&E twice in 24 hours
Jeremy Paxman has revealed health scares that took him to A&E twice in 24 hours. The TV host, 72, said he was on “first-name terms” with staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Writing in Saga Magazine, Paxman said he experienced chest pains, which raised fears of a heart attack.
He added that there was a 24-hour ambulance strike on the day that he was admitted and so he arrived by taxi.
Back home, Paxman then fell off a chair resulting in an “awful lot of blood”. He finally went home “with my head glued together, looking for all the world like some tonsured ninth-century Irish monk who had got involved in a rather vicious punch-up”.
