Amidst all the politicking, journalism, evasion of responsibility and self-serving, those who died must never be forgotten, including Jeannie Mclelland, my wife of 52 years, a nurse who did her best to make others well but ended up failed by those politicians now trying to escape blame, and sadly, yes, the NHS to which she had given so much of her working life.’
