Ten to the Top replaces Bruce’s Popmaster show
Popmaster is to be replaced with a new musical game called Ten to the Top, as the BBC tries to move on from Ken Bruce.
Bruce, the veteran Scottish radio presenter who hosted his final Radio 2 show last Friday, is moving to Bauer’s Greatest Hits Radio next month, taking with him the Popmaster game.
Gary Davies, 65, will present the mid-morning show from today until Vernon Kay takes over on a yet-to-be announced date in May. Davies will usher in a new music trivia game, described as an “accumulator quiz where it pays to answer the questions correctly in order”, the BBC said.
