Old is gold

sir – Jane Shilling is right – the world of antiques is still alive (“Appreciating antiques reflects our own desire to be cherished”, Comment, March 6).

After a busy few days at an antiques fair last week I am delighted to report that visitors from all age groups and income levels attended and acquired items of various ages and from a wide range of disciplines.
