Liquid lunch

A Pekinese named Sammy is cooled down by Amanda Thomas before entering the judging ring during the final day of Crufts, at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. A Lagotto Romagnolo won Best in Show at the event, after a 25 hour journey from Croatia. The fouryear-old, named Orca, is the first of her breed ever to take the top price. Originally from Italy, the curlyhaired retrievers were bred as duck hunters but are now more often used to hunt for truffles due to their acute scenting powers.
