Daily Mail owner names Collier as new chief executive
The Daily Mail owner has appointed a new chief executive to replace the great-grandson of the its founder.
Tim Collier was previously special adviser and non-executive director at Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT). He joined in 2017 as chief financial officer, a position he held until 2021.
Mr Collier takes over as chief executive from Lord Rothermere, who became chairman and chief executive of DMGT last September after his predecessor Paul Zwillenberg stepped down after six years in the role.
Lord Rothermere will remain as executive chairman of DMGT, which also owns Metro and the i newspaper.
The pair will together set DMGT’S “strategic direction for renewed growth”, the company said.
