Making waves

Motorists carefully drive along the flooded Welney Wash Road in west Norfolk after a nearby river burst its banks. The A1101 is the lowest road in Britain and is almost entirely below sea level. It was closed yesterday as a result of “fast flowing water” with drivers urged to find alternative routes.
